Digital Archiving & Preservation Policy
The archiving policy includes the following measures:
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. All content in the CLOCKSS Archive and the Global LOCKSS Network is preserved with explicit publisher permission, secured via a written contract or through online permission statements. We work closely with LOCKSS network implementers to facilitate the development of governance and legal terms that are appropriate to the implicated content, jurisdictions, rights, and access affordances. Our work is also licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 4.0 License.
The preservation policy includes the following measures:
Our electronic content (website, manuscripts, etc.) is stored in two different sources. Content on one server is online and accessible to the readers. The copy of the same content is kept as a backup on one other server. In case of failure of one server, the other source can be made online and the website is expected to be accessible within less than 36 hours.
Our journal’s Abstracting/Indexing services store much essential information about the articles. Some copies of the metadata and articles are available to the Abstracting/Indexing services through their systems as an alternative to the journals' own.
Authors may archive the final published version of their articles in personal or institutional repositories immediately after publication.
If the journal stops publishing
We intend and expect to continue to publish our journal for a very long time. If due to some rare, unfortunate circumstances, we are forced to stop publishing the journal, the manuscripts published in the journal will be kept online and accessible to the readers for at least 5 more years. When required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website, the content will be accessible through LOCKSS and CLOCKSS.
