About the Journal

Jurnal Teknik Sipil is an open access and peer reviewed scientific journal majoring in civil engineering at Universitas Kristen Maranatha which is published twice a year in April and October. First published in October 2003. The purpose of publication is as a forum for scientific communication and also to disseminate research results, study literature in the field of civil engineering or related sciences.

Each submitted article will be processed through the similarity check stage (maximum 20% similarity), the review stage, the copyediting stage, to the publication stage. Every article published in our journal is free of publication fees.

Jurnal Teknik Sipil accredited SINTA 4 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 158/E/KPT/2021 (certificate).

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. 

In the reviewing process, there are at least two reviewers for each manuscript in the related topic with in double blind peer review and managed by editor in the OJS.  Judgement from the both reviewers will be main priority for editor to make decision. In case of three reviewers, decision will be made from at least two reviewers. 

Generally, the candidate of reviewers will be chosen based on their reputation in the international publication number and quality. Next step, The Editor send the invitation letter for each candidate of reviewer. After the candidate of reviewer informed their availabilities for reviewing process.

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

Jurnal Teknik Sipil provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The journal is open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or / institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author.

 

ARCHIVING

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. LOCKSS Archive.

PLAGIARISM

Authors should submit only original work that is not plagiarized and not has been published or being considered elsewhere. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents, so all submitted manuscripts would thorugh plagiarism checked by editor with maximum 20% similarity. The manuscripts that do not pass plagiarism checking process would return to the author to revised it. The manuscripts that pass the plagiarism checking process will continue to the review process. Turnitin or other software will be used by the editorial team to check for simmiliarities of submitted manuscript with existing literatures.

WITHDRAWAL OF MANUSCRIPT

During the review process, authors are not allowed to withdraw the manuscript because the
withdrawal is a waste of valuable resources and time for editors and reviewers to process the
submitted manuscript.
