Abstrak

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran model analisis jalur yaitu bagaimana parent involvement, parent autonomy support, dan parental structure memenuhi need for autonomy, need for competence dan need for relatedness yang berperan terhadapschool engagement pada siswa SMP “X” Bandung. Berdasarkan analisis jalur yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa: parent involvement berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap ketiga basic need satisfaction; parental structure hanya berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap need for competence dan need for relatedness; need for autonomy hanya berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap emotional engagement dan cognitive engagement; need for competence hanya berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap behavioral engagement dan emotional engagement; sedangkan need for relatedness hanya berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap emotional engagement dan cognitive engagement.
